Before I write my posts on Taiwan and Jogoya restaurant, I'm taking you a trip to my grandmother's house in Sabak Bernam. Finally my dad got a free day to drive us to visit my grandmother. It had been few years since the last time I went back to my grandmother's house, because I dislike the long hour journey, the animals, and the hot environment there. I only went back on CNY or on my grandmother's birthday when I was young, and my parents don't force me to go back with them anymore when I'm getting older. We didn't stay over night this time because my parents knew I don't like it. When I went back, everyone was asking me whether I got feel hot or not and my grandmother brought me cold beverage and turned the fan until the max for me *touched*
We were first stopped by my uncle's house.
I found this old style clogs outside the bathroom
Playing smooch with my cousin
This is my second uncle, who was teaching his apprentice on how to repair the tyre. My mom told me that people used to call him "white Prince" on his high school because he was very fair and handsome.
Continue our journey to my grandmother's house...
You could see banana trees, coconut trees, etc on both sides on the road
Let me introduce some animals at my grandmother's house:
Whenever we reached my grandmother's house, a herd of dogs would get close to our car doors and wave their tails to welcome us. This time left back one dog because others were died. As usual, I have to wait my dad or relatives to help me to shoo the dog away before I can get down from the car. Btw, this is Johnny. He actually won't bite people and afraid of getting close with people because my eldest uncle always hit him. Poor Johnny
This is 小白. Haha I have a friend called小白 too! I am also very afraid of this cat because it will jump on your lap if you have food with you.
The hen (I guess so) and the chickens. The only animals I don't afraid of in my grandmother's house because they would run away automatically when I got close with them
And the frogs. I couldn't take their photo because they only appear at night. So, I tried my best not to go to bathroom at night because sometimes I'll suddenly found that there was actually a frog with its froggy sound stood handsomely beside me and looked at me while I was peeing. Damn kao scary! Actually the one who scare frog the most is my mom because there was once she stepped on a frog unintentionally with her bare foot and the frog died into pieces. So gross!!
My eldest aunt cooked us lunch. I couldn't eat really sit down and enjoy my meal because Johnny and 小白 were around me.
I always think my eldest uncle look like a HK celebrity who always plays act as gangster in the movie.
A lot of Indians customers like to hang out and drinking in this grocery store
This is my beloved grandmother
Exploring on the second floor
I used to sleep here when I visit my grandmother. Afterthat, I rather sleep in the living room because it is cooler at night and we got to see the fireflies.
Two things I don't like to take shower in my grandmother's house: have to boil the water and my whole body would leave with mosquitos kiss whenever I finished shower.
My younger sister and I always take long time to climb up or down this stairs, as if we would fall down anytime.
My cousin, Jia En, moved whole stack of books to grandmother's house to prepare her trial exams. The opening book was trying to convice everyone (especially her mom) that she really did study.
The house is too dark for someone who has presbyophia to read a newspaper.
Men's talk
Facial time. My sister has grown up *wet eyes*
Not forgetting to sms while steaming her face
My naughtiest cousin (the yellow shirt) ever! Sometimes he really make me hate kids.
The corner that I loved the most when I was young.
Bye bye!
After I went to my grandmother's house, I don't think I can get overcome my fear of dogs and cats (actually is all the animals). Like that how can I communicate with Ah Beng (a dog Chi Jiun wants to buy and he insisted to give him this name before the puppy is borned, what an old-fashioned name) in future??
Spent my weekend with Hui Min (p.s.: thanks for the belated birthday present!). We were first went to the Bijour Bazaar but I didn't find any that I really liked. So after our lunch at Sushi Zanmai and some shopping, we took a visit to fish spa at Mid Valley.
I learned about it some time ago when I watched the popular Taiwan variety show Guess regarding the "doctor fish". It was saying these fishes help exfoliate your feet and keep them healthy. I was really looking forward to try it when KL people have the hots for fish spa now.
Bumped into Suriya @ The Gardens
A view from the shop
The kid was very preoccupied with the "doc fish"
These were our own tags. The tag number will appear on the screen when the time is up.
The resting/waiting area
The interior of Kenko
I believe that everyone was looking at us for the first 3 minutes because we were screaming and giggling aloud like siao zha bo. The fishes swam close when our foot get nearer to the pool, as though knowing there was "food". An uncle beside me laughed and persuaded us, "dare dare put in and don't look at those fishes." Out of my expectation, I was only swaying my feet in and out for 3 minutes and enjoyed the nibbling the rest of 27 minutes
Hui Min was more afraid of those fishes than me. She was having this pose for more than 10 minutes. More and more people tried to persuaded her, "just put your feet into the pool and don't look down", "don't think those are fishes, just imagine you are having a spa", etc. She gave up and went for the smallest fishes. Later she told me she was so regret to come here because those fishes were so scary.
I was told there are four sizes of fishes. So I tried all of them.
Hui Min refused to take the typical feet photo with me because she thinks her legs are very fat. So I took together with a girl who was also came for the first time.
It is said that there will be more fishes on your right hand or right foot if you're a right-handed, because you use that hand more often so you'll have more dead skin on your right hand or right foot. Viewed from the photos I took, I had more fishes on my right foot lor and I'm right-handed.
The feeling was pretty geli (ticklish) and tingling at the same time, but you would get used to it and enjoy the fish spa after a while. The small fishes bite will be "sap sap water" for you after you try the adult fishes.
I couldn't take a clear photo at this because all the fishes were gone to an uncle who has hairy feet and the lady who took the feet photo with me. The giant fishes didn't like to bite my feet
I don't understand why it is not suitable for female. Honestly, it was the same feelings from all sizes of fishes except the smallest fishes.
The two thick face ladies who were still unwilling to leave when the time was up and insisted to take more photos.
The fish spa take 30 minutes and costs RM 38. They even offer fish spa package where it costs RM 300 for 10 sessions and valid for a year (I knew it because the girl was trying to persuaded us to sign for this pacakge). There are other services apart from fish spa, such as whole body spa, food massage, etc. They also serve snacks and beverages. There is another branch at Pavilion, KL which is near the GSC cinemas.
Unfortunately, I felt no difference after the spa NONE. AT. ALL. I wasn't really upset because I knew I just tried it for fun. I would say, if you really want to get kill off all the dead skin on your feet, you should go for peduicure.

Six
months ago, I made a promise to GuanYin Ma. I felt so admire to myself
when I made this promise, because I HATE VEGETABLES. The taste, the
texture, ugh! My parents spoiled me and allow me eat whatever I like.
Of course I never choose vegetables, because they were gross. The only
time I really eat vegetables was on Chinese New Year; I had to eat a
type of vegetable, which symbolizes money, or else my parents won't
give me ang pow. Geez. Vegetables just don't taste good at all to me
and I don't understand when some of my friends must have vegetables on
every meal. Once Chi Jiun told me, "I don't understand how can you describe
vegetables as geli."
Some vegetables really make me gag. I
hate cucumber, balsam pear, bean sprouts, and many many veggie names I
don't know. I will take out all the cucumbers from sushi roll, tomatoes
from burger, and used to take out the green bean piece by piece from
fried rice before I tuck them into my mouth.
I eat corn,
potato, ketchup, mushroom, lotus root, tofu, sweet potato, etc, and I
don't really count them as vegetables. When I'm getting older, I'm
working hard to increase the vegetables I eat. I used to only eat five
to six types of vegetables: "dou miao", cabbage, seaweed (only in
soup), "xi yang cai", Chinese water spinach, cauliflower + tomato and
carrot when it is liquidize or soften in soup. Now added up kangkong,
"kim jiam ko", broccoli, spinach, and radish. But I really hate them, I
just want to be healthier because I eat too much junk, especially when
I found healthy food is always much more expensive than junk food in
the USA. I really get jealous when Carmen eat salads while I had my chicken finger in school.
This is me when trying to "swallow" a carrot.
I always show this kind of face while eating vegetables. Sigh! Sometimes I hate myself.
So
after six months, I kept my promise, at last! (cause I suddenly
remember that there are vegetarian meat *snigger*) I think my mom was
more excited than me, she kept tracking on me to make sure I didn't eat
any meat and nagged me to brush my teeth before after 12 a.m., because
I just had a lo mai kai
before that and she thought the meat would stick on my teeth -_-"' I
never thought of that. She told me that I can't keep complaining and
moody if I really want to eat vegetarian with sincere heart and sincere mind. Okay, I didn't
imagine any meat on my head then.
Chi Jiun accompanied me to eat vegetarian yesterday
Our brunch. The vegetarian satay is very tasty!
Fruit after meal. I'm not sure how many months I didn't eat fruits already, except for durian
Foot massage , one of the birthday presents my mom gave Chi Jiun
This page attracted me most
Our dinner, top-right-left: claypot bean curd, cuttle fish assortment with kangkong, honey ribs
After that, I countdowning to 12 o'clock by eating sour tapes and mini m&m's (opps! can I??).
